01Who we are
BeqSpark is a product of BEQODIA LTD, which decides how your personal data is used (the controller). For anything about your data, write to hello@beqspark.com.
02What we always keep, to run the service
- Your account: your email address and the sign-in details our authentication provider (Clerk) manages.
- Your plan, credits and payments. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Usage metadata for each AI request: the feature, the time, the platform, how long it took and how many credits it cost. Never the text, the answer or the page.
- The notices we send you about your account, plan, credits and data, and whether each email arrived.
- The choices you confirm before paying, and any withdrawal or refund, as records of the contract.
03What we keep only if you switch it on
Nothing in this list is on until you choose it, category by category, and you can switch each one off at any time in the extension or the dashboard. Every choice is recorded with the date and the wording you saw.
- Where it happened: the page address, the site and the tab title.
- What you selected, the AI's answers and your Ask conversations.
- Screenshots you snip and pronunciation practice recordings.
- Product analytics: which buttons and actions you use, never content or addresses.
What you allow is kept as your own Activity history, which only you can see. It is encrypted with a key of your own. BeqSpark staff can't read it, except with your explicit consent for a support case, for security, or when the law requires it. Nothing is kept from incognito windows, from sites you exclude, or from tabs where BeqSpark is paused. Content and page addresses never appear in our analytics or logs.
Reports about BeqSpark as a whole show a site only when at least 20 people who allowed page context used BeqSpark there, and never identify anyone.
04Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for (the contract): your account, actions, credits, billing and service notices.
- With your consent: your Activity history and product analytics. Withdrawing consent stops collection at once.
- To meet legal duties: tax and accounting records, and proof of consent.
- For security (our legitimate interest): rate limits and abuse prevention, using technical data such as your IP address, briefly.
05Who processes it for us
- Clerk: sign-in and account security.
- Stripe: payments, invoices and receipts.
- Google (Gemini) and Cerebras: produce the AI answers you ask for.
- ElevenLabs: reads text aloud and transcribes practice recordings.
- Postmark: sends our service emails.
- Sentry: receives error reports so we can fix bugs, without your content, addresses or account details.
- Our hosting provider: runs the service and its database.
AI providers receive only what an action needs to produce its answer. Each provider works under a data processing agreement. Where one processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
06How long we keep it
- Activity history: for as long as you choose (30, 90 or 365 days, or until you delete it), within your plan. Free keeps 7 days and the text of screenshots and recordings but not the files; Plus up to a year; Pro until you delete it. After a downgrade, your previous limits apply for 30 more days before anything is removed.
- Usage metadata, product analytics and notices: 13 months.
- Payment, credit and withdrawal records: as long as tax and consumer law require.
07Your rights
- Download your data: the Privacy page in your dashboard gives you everything we hold about you in one file: your account, plan, credits, usage, consent choices, and your full history with its screenshots and recordings.
- Delete your account: also from the Privacy page. Renewal stops at once and BeqSpark stops working for the account. For 30 days you can restore it or download your data; then everything is erased and your sign-in is deleted. We keep only what the law requires, without your email or name: payment and credit records (for tax), and the consent and audit logs (as proof of what you agreed to and what happened).
- You can also correct your data, restrict or object to its use, or ask us anything by writing to hello@beqspark.com.
If you think we got something wrong, please tell us first. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
09Children
BeqSpark is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
10Changes to this policy
When we change what we collect or why, we update this page and tell you by email and in the dashboard before it applies. If it affects something you consented to, we ask you again.
